Hamas Attacks Israel

At 6:35 a.m. IST in southern and central Israel the first air raid sirens activate. Concurrently, in its first statement, a ten-minute recorded message by Muhammad Deif, the leader of the military wing of Hamas, it is declared that “Operation Al-Aqsa Flood” has been launched so that “the enemy will understand that the time of their rampaging without accountability has ended,”  and called upon Palestinians to attack Israeli settlements with whatever weapons they had at hand.
